Giving unique ideas a form, letting creativity run free: Pencils are true magic wands for creative people. Even when lightly touching paper, the crystal-like structure of a pencil’s graphite leaves its mark – an idea is brought to life. To celebrate the magic of this experience, International Pencil Day is held on March 30th.
The history of the pencil finds its origins 5,000 years ago in ancient Egypt: there, pencils are said to have existed in which thin bamboo or papyrus tubes were filled with liquid lead. The pencil owes its name to the lead stylus used in the past. Nowadays, the leads are made of graphite and clay.
The creative impulse is offered a realization with Otto Hutt pencils: writing or drawing becomes a magical self-expression. With 0.7-millimeter leads and an eraser integrated into the cap, Otto Hutt pencils are also popular among architects, technical draftsmen, artists and frequent writers. Our wands for creative people are available in the design lines design01, design02, design03, design04 and design06.
