At Otto Hutt, sustainability is embraced from start to finish. The bond with the Black Forest, the impressive nature and the homeland is deeply rooted in the company’s philosophy. Production takes place exclusively at the company’s own site in the northern Black Forest. Artisanal manufacturing techniques are used in an environmentally conscious manner and electrochemical processes, such as the company’s own electroplating technology, are carried out in accordance with safety standards.

The entire production runs without sewage with the help of the company’s own combined heat and power plant. The cooperation with supply partners from the region and Germany supports the local economy.

Plastics are avoided as far as possible – even in the packaging which is suitable for reuse. Even the fine chips produced during production are recycled. The company combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative and sustainable practices to create writing instruments of the highest quality.

As diverse as the design lines are, they are united by the use of exquisite materials – including silver, brass, gold and platinum. Each writing instrument undergoes careful manual quality control after production. Through a final writing test, the manufactory ensures that the unique pieces convince in every way.
