The shaft sleeves are given a guilloché pattern in a thread or stripe design. They are tapered, which represents a special type of guilloché pattern. This is followed by multiple lacquering with colored lacquer and finally with high-quality matt lacquer. The cap sleeves and fittings of the rollerball are coated with high-gloss platinum.
